Koi UFO Video 071: "The Captive Gray" (Philipe Kling David)
[DEBUNKED] Koi UFO Video 071 appears to show a stereotypical "grey" alien in a dark room making some unintelligible sounds, while Portuguese is spoken.
In fact, as discussed below, the "Captive Gray" videos were CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) artwork by Brazilian CGI artist Philipe Kling David . The videos were created by him as part of his story called "O relato de um MIB" ("The report of a MIB"). The video was created by Philipe Kling David using the 3dsMax software package, on a weekend.

1. The relevant video
This video appears to show a stereotypical "grey" alien in a dark room making some unintelligible sounds, while Portuguese is spoken.
This video of a “grey” alien (entitled “The Captive Gray”) was uploaded to Youtube by Philip Kling David on 8 March 2008. The original version of the video begins and ends with a caption stating “www.mundogump.com.br” (the name of one of Philip Kling David's websites). The video appears to show an alien in a dark room with a light being shone on it.

The original version of the video was uploaded by Philipe Kling David to Youtube with the title "The Captive Gray".
In one of the (many) threads regarding this video on the AboveTopSecret.com discussion forum, a Brazilian member (with the username "Roufas") helpfully posted the following translation of what is said during the video:
Guy 1 shouts : Speak , son of a bitch!
Guy 2 : Take it easy man , you'll end up hurting it ...
Alien : Mwahhh Mwhaaa .... baaaaboo baaabooo (?)
Guy 1 laughs loudly and says : There we go , didn't I tell you that he would talk?
Guy 1 : Let's get out of here dammit , let's go!
Guy 2 : Hold on Ze !
Guy 1 : OK , ok.
Several edited copies of the video have since been posted on Youtube. The edits are usually limited to removing the opening credit which referred to Philipe Kling David's website, www.mundogrump.com.br.
During 2010, as I discussed at the time, a local British newspaper was sent a version of the video which had been edited to remove the sections when Portuguese was spoken. The sender of the edited video claimed that it had been filmed in a local British village.
Philipe Kling David posted a second video on 30 March 2008, entitled "The Captive Gray II". That video has about half a million hits as at October 2014 and appears to show the grey alien walking around a room while being recorded on a surveillance camera which has a date stamp of "3-10-2008 Mon".

The "Captive Gray" videos were CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) artwork by Brazilian CGI artist Philipe Kling David . The videos were created by him as part of his story called "O relato de um MIB" ("The report of a MIB"). The video was created by Philipe Kling David using the 3dsMax software package, on a weekend.
On his website, Philipe Kling David refers to his experience working with design and illustration - including setting up the Portifolium company which offers webdesign and audiovisual services (including special effects and animation).
The items showcased on Philipe Kling David's website include the "Captive Grey" from his videos.
Philipe Kling David also writes regularly on his Mundo Gump blog, which includes lots of posts on photography, CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) and UFO hoaxes.

One or two individuals (particularly an individual on the AboveTopSecret.com discussion forum with the username "DocLottaLove") have suggested that Philipe Kling David was lying about having created the relevant videos, an allegation which Philipe Kling David has addressed in some detail in several places - including in an item on his Mundo Gump blog and using his username "Philipe3d" on the AboveTopsecret.com discussion forum. In the former of those items, Philipe Kling David discusses the fact that he thought his original project files for the "Captive Gray" had been lost after posting that video on Youtube, but he subsequently found those project files. He seems to have been deterred from sharing those original project files by the tone of comments made by "DocLottaLove".
I hope he will reconsider that decision now.
