Koi UFO Video 073 : Orange County ring UFO
[DEBUNKED] Koi UFO Video 073 appears to show a ring shaped flying object.
As discussed below, this video shows Linn Murphy operating a 3 foot ring-shaped remote controlled toy aircraft designed by Steve Zingali. Local media coverage in Orange County from 2007 suggests that the model aircraft "spiked Orange County's unidentified flying object sightings for the past three years" and had "fooled thousands" - although in fact I have so far been unable to find any "UFO" videos showing the model aircraft other than those put online to promote sales of the toy aircraft. I wonder if there was an element of hype involved by those selling the relevant toy aircraft. The toy aircraft was sold for US$ 1,000.

An article on the website of The Orange County Register in 2007 reported that the model aircraft "spiked Orange County's unidentified flying object sightings for the past three years" and had "fooled thousands". The article refers to Linn Murphy as "A man who has generated hundreds, if not thousands, of calls to police and dozens of videos on UFO Web sites". Linn Murphy claimed to have flown the "UFO" over various crowds and fooled lots of people.
However, I have so far been unable to find any "UFO" videos showing this particular model aircraft other than those put online to promote sales of the toy aircraft. I wonder if there was an element of hype involved by those selling the relevant toy aircraft. The toy aircraft was pretty expensive (reportedly selling for US$ 1,000).
