Koi UFO Video 002 : Sarajevo Film Festival video
[DEBUNKED] Numerous copies of Koi UFO Video 002 appear on Youtube and elsewhere. One copy alone (with the title "Real UFO in Sarajevo Bosnia (8.10.2005)") has over half a million views.
The video appears to show a reporter in Sarajevo speaking to the camera when a UFO suddenly appears.
In fact, as detailed below, the video is an admitted hoax created as a commercial for The International Theater Festival in Sarajevo (specifically the 45th International Theatre Festival, the MESS'05, in 2005).
This is just one example of numerous videos that remains the subject of discussion online despite being admitted as a hoax years ago.

This video was posted online in 2005.
The website for the MESS Theater Festival in Sarajevo in 2005 included a page with the relevant video, with a caption of "An unusual announcement for the upcoming 45th International Theatre Festival, the MESS'05."

Most online comments (particularly those posted after the true source of the video was revealed...) stated that the video was an obvious hoax. There were some exceptions. For example, in one discussion on the AboveTopSecret.com forum, one of the members (“Conzpiracy”) commented “I believe this video to be real and is the best evidence of flying saucers that I have ever seen. It also looks exactly like your typical UFO although it's alot smaller than I originally thought.”

At the beginning of the video, the reporter is heard discussing the forthcoming MESS theatre festival.
The website for the MESS Theater Festival in Sarajevo in 2005 included a page with the relevant video, with a caption of "An unusual announcement for the upcoming 45th International Theatre Festival, the MESS'05."
In January 2007, I contacted the website of the organisers of the MESS Festival. Nihad Kresevljakovic of MESS kindly confirmed to me (in an email dated 26 January 2007) that the video was indeed created by a company called Fabrika as a commercial for the Festival.
I asked Nihad Kresevljakovic whether the makers of the video had followed the discussion of their video on the Internet and, if so, what they thought about the fact that the video kept appearing on various UFO forums and what they thought of the various opinions expressed. Nihad Kresevljakovic replied that his own opinion was that it was "partly funny and it is partly scary".
A website apparently run by a "Rudolf Bosnjak" claimed that "This UFO sighting WAS NOT a commercial video for The International Theater Festival in Sarajevo as NOW, after world know about this, all wish to declare. In time of event nobody know about that." However, I cannot find any intelligible reasons on Bosnjak's website for reaching the conclusion that the video was not promoting the Theater Festival in Sarajevo.
