Koi UFO Video 078: Joke UFO over water (Trident missile launch)
[DEBUNKED] Koi UFO Video 078 is an obvious joke, but since it has over 10 MILLION views on Youtube (as at October 2014), I thought I'd briefly cover it in my series of webpages on infamous "UFO" videos. This video appears to show a very large stereotypical flying saucer lifting off from a sea, with a rocket flame appearing to emerge from its underside.
I hesitate to say this video has been debunked since it was always clearly intended to be just a joke. The text accompanying the video says "(The "Einstein Award" goes to all of you who say it's "fake" lol)".
This video, in case anyone needed an explanation, is in fact an edited version of a Trident submarine missile launch. The creator of the footage ("TimelessDimensions") has also uploaded various other joke videos, including a version of this video which has a cow being superimposed over the missile in the same footage and also videos entitled "Zebra & Elephant breeding fail" and "Horse & Sheep breeding fail".

This video, in case anyone needed an explanation, is in fact an edited version of a Trident submarine missile launch.
I did a (very!) quick search on Youtube for missile launch footage and the first result was that shown below. The first few seconds of that footage appear to be the raw footage used for this joke, with a "flying saucer" image superimposed over the missile using compositing software capable of motion tracking (such as Adobe After Effects).
For anyone that found the first video too subtle to spot as a joke, the creator of the "UFO" footage ("TimelessDimensions") has also uploaded also made another version (which has about 2 million views as at October 2014) showing a cow in place of the UFO.
TimelessDimensions has also uploaded various other joke videos, including videos entitled "Zebra & Elephant breeding fail" (over 8 million views as at October 2014...) and "Horse & Sheep breeding fail" (over 3 million views as at October 2014).

This video has been posted on Facebook, including on the "FUFON (Fun UFO Network") page, and shared extensively. Most (but not all...) people appear to recognise it as a simple joke.
